Pam Winters
Pam Winters loves being an editorial cartoonist and has slaved away at her drawing table inking her opinions for the past seven years. The issues that interest her most revolve around societal ills and injustices; for example, homelessness, racism, gender inequality, and prejudice based on sexual orientation, are common themes in her work. She has been fortunate enough to have many of her cartoons published in a variety of newspapers throughout California, including the San Diego Union-Tribune, the San Francisco Chronicle, the Ventura County Star, and the Sacramento Bee, as well as in the Washington Post National Weekly Edition. Her first cartoon was published in her hometown paper, the North County Times, in 1998, shortly after the Lewinsky scandal broke.
Pam currently resides in Washington, D.C., and hopes to last there until the cherry blossoms are next in bloom. When not mulling over the tyranny of President Bush and his cohorts and political/corporate corruption in general, Pam enjoys spending time with family and friends, hugging rock stars, and finding stray kitties to befriend.
