Yvette Piette
Yvette Piette was born in Midland, Texas in 1982, and has lived in Wisconsin for the past 15 years. Her drawings first appeared in a newspaper at age ten when she illustrated an article for the Wausau Daily Herald. She began drawing editorial cartoons in high school for the student newspaper, and drew for The Daily Cardinal at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for three and a half years. She received a Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists in 2003, and has been interviewed by American Journalism Review. Yvette is a Catholic, and her cartoons have generated mixed reactions in Madison. She recieved her Bachelor of Fine Arts in December 2005.
